The benefits of an Instagram account for the development of a Zen channel

Perhaps this is an open secret. For me, it is a pleasant discovery. In the last two weeks, my Instagram account has brought some new readers and subscribers to my Zen channel.

The Zen platform is, of course, powerfully gaining momentum. But Instagram continues to develop, offering users new formats. And there, too, «sits» a huge number of people. And while more than in Zen. Yes, the Instagram audience is considered to be younger. So what?! It is quite possible that the theme of our channels on Zen will be of interest to Instagram lovers as well. Why not attract an audience from there to your Zen?

As I understand it, the best tool for promoting your Zen channel through Instagram is stories (stories). To be honest, I had an Instagram channel like this, half-alive. Made it just like that. To be. And to peep what the son-student puts out there. From time to time I «thrown out» there a few photos from our trips. Subscribers — with a gulkin nose, a little more than two hundred. I knew about stories, but I had no idea how to design and publish them.

Having figured it out, I found out that in posts (photo with short text) I can’t post links to my articles in Zen. Links in posts can only be posted by those who have more than 1000 subscribers. But in stories — quite. That is, I can write an article in Zen, and on Instagram I can post a story, sort of like an announcement. And hang a link tag in the history — this is provided by the Instagram functionality.

I still haven’t really figured out how Insta’s algorithms work, but in the last two weeks, when I began to publish stories from time to time, my reach on Instagram increased, and on Zen, the number of transitions from this social network increased. To be more precise, the crossovers from Insta just appeared, before they didn’t exist at all. With the help of stories, I direct both a part of my Instagram followers and completely new people to whom Instagram decided to show my stories to Zen.

I have never been a fan of this network before. And now I understand how you can use it, I began to figure it out, and I began to like it.

In addition, the skills of designing Instagram stories and reels (short videos) will help you make cute videos for Zen. Of course, Zen has a built-in video editor, but this editor is still far from specialized applications. About applications, probably, I will make a separate article, this is an interesting topic.

I think that zen growers should not neglect Instagram, and they should definitely post announcements of articles with links in stories. And, by the way, on Instagram stories you can fool around in terms of headlines — they don’t pay attention to clickbait.

I do not consider Instagram as a platform for making money. There is no built-in monetization. And I don’t think that I will ever be able to gain, with the existing competition, such an audience that advertisers will come to me.
